Update on Ferguslie Park

One thing I forgot to mention in my list of outstanding queries was the old tyres lying in the lay-by in Drums Ave. Ferguslie (see mine 19th March) , so just to keep everyone up to date on TKMax's contribution, the old tyres I mentioned are still there, and don't look like going anywhere anytime soon.

Johnstone Town Centre and the Labour Party

I want to send my sympathy to the people of Johnstone. Labour have decided to re-develope your town centre, according to a piece of election propoganda dropped through my door today. Seeing what they have done to Paisley there must be a dread running through all of Johnstone.

Hugh 'Shuggie the hammer' Henry, the man who single handedly solved Ferguslie's drug problem? has fixed it for you to have all of the skill and expertise which ran Paisley into the ground, and forced it to go back about 10 years and start again with its town centre.

I've had a brilliant idea about how Hugh could solve the drug problem in Johnstone as well. If we let him and the other trumpets in the Alexanders' rag time band run the illegal drug industry then it will be ruined and in crisis in about a fortnight.

Councillor Terry Kelly and the Ferguslie Schools

I posted the following comment to TK on his blog today, but as he has censored me I repeat the posting below :-

Sorry to rain on your parade, Terry, but aren’t you just leasing these schools under a PFI / PPP deal and wont it be left to the future generations to occupy a school up to 25 years old for which they will still be paying top dollar?

Aren’t the schools designed, built, owned and operated for profit by a contractor?
